I just wanted to send you a few pictures from my confirmation. It was on April 13th. I was lucky enough to have Teri Kruse as my sponsor. This day was very important to my family and me, so I wanted to share it with the whole Kruse Family by sending a few pictures.
Thanks, Jessica

Derek's Baseball Game
Derek has a pretty strong team and great coaches. They've lost one, won five and tied another. Tonight he had a great game. Derek was responsible for 6 out of 11 runs. He had a home run (inside the park) and two triples. This game was 11-2, our win. Way to go Derek!!!

Website Update
Hello Everyone,
I thought I would post some information about the new website menu on here first and then later in an email for the people who don't check the kruse news all the time. I'm sure since you are on this page you have noticed that the menu for the kruse website has changed pretty drastically. I have been working on a new menu of one type or another for about a year now. The other menu's that I tried never seemed to work right until I found this menu. I love this menu. It's elegant and simple to use. It may take some time to get used to, but it takes up so much less space than the old one. Also, if you were very observant you noticed that their were three brand new links. I won't tell you what two of them are because I want you to find them, but also because they don't actually go anywhere yet. All the times I've been telling you that I was working on some things for the website these were it. The one I will tell you about is "The Memory Book". You may remember this from when Granny and Grandpa gave them out to all of their kids. I have made it more useful. Thank You goes to Nancy for lending me the original files so that I was able to use the text without scanning it in. The pictures are of higher quality than was able in the Memory Book before. And last but not least is my favorite feature of the new Memory Book. It is completely searchable. You can search for people's names or phrases or just any word you can think of and it will find it, if it is there to be found. When you click on the link for the Memory Book, which is under Kruse History, you will be taken to a page unlike any other page on the website. It is pretty devoid of stuff accept for the actual Memory Book. At the top of the Book is a navigation bar. You can do many things with the navigation bar and I urge you to play around with it and figure stuff out, but that is where the search bar is. It is pretty obvious. It has the word 'Search' in the box where you type what you are looking for. I urge you to try the search out and be amazed at what you can find and how much more useful the Memory Book really is now. Now go out and enjoy the website.

Craig's New Job
It's a little weird posting news for myself. I got a job... Finally! I'm working at our church Community Bible Church. This is my third week on the job. I am a childcare Administrative Assisstant. I'm hoping this leads to an IT job with the church in a few months. Now I have less time to work on the website.

Derek's Walk Off
It was 12-4 and we were getting cruuuuushed. There were more moans from our parents then "way to go’s." this went on for 4 innings. It was painful. Derek was pitching and doing great but the defense was not so good. Fifth inning and the mojo kicks in. The boys were knockin' in run after run. At this time it was 12-12. Derek comes up to bat. First pitch, ball. Second pitch, ball. I yelled “make this your fourth (homerun), baby!!!" third pitch came up and holy *%#$!!! It started low and just kept sailin'!!! Ladies and gentleman, it was still going up when it cleared the center field fence. Everybody went nuts!!! We won 14-12 and Wes got it on tape!!! Wes managed to get Derek’s homerun ball and all the boys signed it. They were calling Derek mini bonds and the parents were asking if he was on steroids. It was a really cool moment for him. I'm still smilin' and Derek says he's never taking his uniform off. He also says that he's not washing anything......not even his underwear. Uh.....................i don't think so.

Chad & Colt
Both Chad & Colt are playing High School baseball this year – their last - @ NB Canyon & La Vernia. Chad hit a home run last night. They both play on Tues & Fri nites.
Derek's First Game
Well folks the Astros lost their first game 8-5. The coaches put Derek 8th on the line up. Are you kidding me!!! He is the only one who has hit not only one homerun but three. Not to mention the one he nailed over the "bigger" league right field fence the day before the game. I about had a stroke!!! I for once kept my mouth shut........................during the game. At practice i talked to one of the coaches wives. We all know what a low key, mellow person i am right? Well, shockingly enough i was this time...........really. Anyway, we'll get em' Saturday!!! The way i see it is............this year the coaches get thrown out if the parents can't stay controlled. That lil' tidbit of info might come in a lil' handy eh? Just playin'.
